Editorial and Medical Review Standards

The standards used to make Luma Health's public educational content understandable, attributable, source-aware, and distinct from individualized medical care.

Medical contentLocal guidesCorrections
Purpose

Luma Health publishes educational information about weight management, GLP-1 medications, telehealth care, pricing topics, and local wellness resources. The material is general information, not a diagnosis, prescription, or substitute for care from a qualified clinician.

Sources and factual claims

Health claims should be supported by appropriate first-party or authoritative sources such as FDA, CDC, NIH, peer-reviewed publications, professional medical organizations, or official prescribing information. Local guides should link to official city, county, park, institution, market-operator, transit, or retailer-location sources. Dynamic details such as schedules, fees, access rules, product availability, and closures should be confirmed with the operator.

Medical review

Articles that display a medical-review attribution identify the named reviewer on the page. Reviewer identity and the public NPI record are linked where available. Medical review does not create a clinician-patient relationship and cannot determine whether a treatment is appropriate for a specific reader.

Authorship, dates, and updates

Pages should identify the responsible author or publishing organization. Publication and modification dates should be displayed when they can be supported by the source record. A page may be updated when evidence, labeling, regulations, pricing, program terms, or local-resource details materially change.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible factual error to hello@mylumahealth.com. Include the page URL and the statement in question. Material corrections should be checked against an authoritative source before publication.

Commercial content and treatment eligibility

Promotional statements, prices, shipping terms, cancellation terms, and treatment availability should remain consistent with the current offer and policy pages. Submitting an assessment does not guarantee treatment or a prescription. A licensed clinician determines eligibility and whether treatment is medically appropriate.

AI-assisted production

Automated tools may assist research organization, drafting, quality checks, or formatting. They do not replace source verification, medical judgment, editorial accountability, or human approval of material medical and business facts. Pages must not invent sources, credentials, locations, outcomes, or commercial terms.
