- City-maintained trails are generally listed as open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.; check the individual trail page for any different or temporary condition.
- Use trail-specific City map links before leaving, especially for the separate Legacy Trail phases and the multiple Lindsey Park loops.
- The City advises sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a cell phone, route planning, pacing outside the hottest part of the day, and awareness of access points and markers.
- Keep right, pass on the left, signal when approaching slower users, and follow posted rules; the City specifically calls for cyclists to stay on designated trail and to use a helmet when cycling.
- For Legacy Trail Phase I, note that portions are maintained by Smith County as well as the City; it is still a City-listed in-city trail resource, but conditions may not be uniform.
Connecting local habits with medical care
Accessible places to walk, exercise, shop, and build consistent routines can complement provider-guided weight management. Prescription treatment is only one possible part of care and does not replace nutrition, physical activity, sleep, preventive care, or management of other health conditions.
